The display gives up, but the unit does not

Many of our customers have found that the main operating hours display can only show five-digit numbers, so it stops at 99 999 hours! Don't panic, the unit will continue to run reliably and the operating hours will continue to be counted diligently, just hidden in the menu under the ‘actual values’.

In this case, the unit's operating time was an impressive 129 576 hours - a figure that is not unusual for our customers! This corresponds to almost 15 years of continuous operation - without interruption!

Looking back, we ask ourselves: Did the software development team at the time, which was still external, perhaps not trust us to achieve this impressive mileage, or were the specifications too vague? Either way, today software development is done in-house, which gives us much more flexibility and even allows us to fix a bug after more than 20 years!
